Makeup Review: BLK K-beauty Collection

It is not a hidden fact that Anne Curtis’ love for k-drama inspired this collection. Aiming for that fresh, light, Korean makeup look – I gave this makeup line a try.

BLK Intense Color Liquid Eyeshadow ₱299
. Easiest eye color ever. Make an effortless statement with this molten eye shadow that comes in pearly and matte neutrals, which are eye staples in Korea. The lightweight formula glides seamlessly on the lids, and dries down to a smooth, budge-proof finish. Minimum effort, maximum impact!

This makeup glides easily and has the right amount of shimmer. The color may not show right away but it is definitely buildable. I have oily lids, so all eyeshadows crease on me. I partied all night and it was still intact! The only downside to this is the price ratio to the amount of product you’d get.
BLK Creamy Cheek Paint

BLK Creamy Cheek Paint ₱349
. Hey there, sweet cheeks! Meet our foolproof, K-style liquid blush. The light, silky texture melts on skin seamlessly, delivering a soft veil of color with a healthy, second-skin finish. Use the wide applicator to finger-paint on cheeks-it's hard to accidentally apply too much.

PIGMENT! All I can say is you only need a few dots of this product to add color to your cheeks. Use this sparingly or it can look way too much on your cheeks. I think that peach is a universal shade while strawberry would work with those who are fair-skinned. The product dries down to a satin-like finish. Be careful with spillage – I can say that it is more fluid than creamy.
True to its tagline, uncomplicated beauty, both products are easy to use especially if you are in a hurry. I’m also impressed knowing that BLK cosmetics have an official cruelty-free certification from PETA.
Where to buy: I got mine from Watsons
