Dining Review: Blue Ginger
Step inside Blue Ginger and feast your eyes on their gorgeous interior decor. This time, I would not be reviewing the food much because I am greatly impressed by the restaurant’s ambiance. That, for me, is the highlight of our visit. Everything is, as other people would say, “Instagram worthy”. Every nook and cranny of this Bali-inspired restaurant was very well thought of; from their furniture down to utensils.
I liked their aesthetic for colorful, mismatched furniture and display shelves.

Here comes the food. Everything I ordered was spot on, the only downside was that it was quite pricey – which did not bother me much because I feel that the ambiance gives the restaurant’s pricing justice.
Bagoong Rice ₱255. Shrimp paste rice served with green mango and eggs. This sweet and salty medley served in a rice bowl for me is good enough to eat on its own.

Lechon sa Pugon ₱545. Crispy pork belly served with lechon sauce, vinegar and atchara. Masarap pero mahal. That’s what I thought. I found this one expensive because of its tiny portion.

Sariwang Lumpiang Ubod ₱295. Fresh heart of palm egg spring roll with soy garlic peanut sauce. I was wowed by how they presented this. Veggies are fresh – I felt so healthy! Haha!

Chocolate cake ₱350. Expensive, yes, but I would describe this one as a huge piece of Goldilocks’ Choco Rhumble. I’d say you can share this slice with five persons. Perfect way to end your meal. (we devoured on this the moment they served it so I missed the chance to take a photo of it)
I would definitely pay another visit to this stunningly designed yet comfortable and relaxing place.
