Dining Review: Skewered
We went to Skewered to have dinner and oh my gosh, it was so good! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It should also be noted that Skewered recently switched up their menu, so there are a lot of new things to try out.
The Pad Thai was an experience. The noodles were chewy and the sauce made it so rich. The combination of the crunchy nuts and the soft tofu added so many layers of texture to the dish. The flavours worked well together. This is by far the best pad thai that I've tasted.

The Torched Beef Salpicao was a bit salty, but then again that’s only if you eat it as is. Masarap bilang ulam. The rice would balance out the saltiness. The presentation was amazing as well, they literally have a torch at hand to heat it.

Speaking of rice, their Signature Fried Rice was a crowd favorite! I get now why they call it their “signature” dish. Holy smokes, I could probably just order only their fried rice and still be satisfied. Their fried rice had mushrooms, veggies and meat. It’s everything!

Beef Brisket Nilaga was also delish. The beef was soft. You could tell it was of good quality. The broth was heavenly.

Their Sizzling Lechon Sisig,is also another amazing dish. It was served on a sizzling plate. The flavours were great. My little sister, who isn’t as tolerant of spicy food as the rest of us, was able to eat it with no problems. I just thought the portion was small.

Lastly, their Signature Fried Chicken. It was served with fries on the side. It was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. I wasn’t much of a fan of their gravy, however.

The servings were big. I’d estimate it as good for three. So the pricing makes sense.
The staff were nice and accommodating. They even made small talk with us while we were waiting for our orders.
I guess if there’s a downside it would be that – it took a while for our orders to arrive. (The wait was worth it, of course, since the food was so good. But some of us did get a little impatient)
Anyway, we had a great time eating there and we’d definitely come back and try their other food!
