Dining Review: Chiara's Gelateria

I was drawn to this place ‘cause the ice cream cart got me curious. Their façade was all white, with a touch of blue, and full of windows. I wanted to have a peek in what’s happening, so I decided to come in and dine.

Small Cup (₱120). We ordered a small cup with 3 different flavours per scoop so we could try which flavours we like. They have fancy names, but if it were just me, I’d call them vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. I enjoyed their strawberry gelato the best. It’s a fruity, refreshing treat.

They don’t have a good range of gelato flavours (yet). Actually, I have not seen a store display of gelato in their shop. When we ordered the small cup, the staff got the gelato from the ice cream cart outside and had no chance to get a glimpse of the inside of the cart.

Amarcord(₱185). Ice cream with bread is always a great idea for me. I am not an ice cream person but I would definitely enjoy an ice cream sandwich. This one, however, is too sweet for me. It is an overkill of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, and will put diabetes into shame. Maybe if they added more of the mango syrup, it would neutralize the sweetness.

They also serve cakes, meringues, coffee-based beverages, and tea (by the pot).

I’d like to give it a chance by trying some non-gelato menu. Maybe I’d go back and try their cakes instead. So:
